2015-12-28Saying that the Amalfi Coast is filled with beautiful beaches is like saying the sky is blue, and if you're staying at villas in Italy this summer, you'll undoubtedly spend much of your time laying out in the sun. No matter how many times you've been to the illustrious coastline, there are hidden beaches just waiting to be discovered, including Laurito and Tordigliano.
Locals have made sure to keep Laurito a well-kept secret, and few tourists head to the tiny cove, even though the waters are calm, warm and crystal-clear throughout the summer. With a thin dock stretching for about 50 feet, young beachgoers often get their adrenaline kick by jumping off the platform into the waters below. You can get to this charming little bay by bus or on a short shuttle boat ride.
A little harder to reach but well worth the effort, Tordigliano Beach is located about 10 miles away from Sorrento and is comprised of three separate coves. Each pebbled strip is surrounded by emerald green cliffs and while laying on a towel, visitors can enjoy uninterrupted views of the nearby Li Galli Islands. You can take a rugged hike down the road or charter a boat to reach these secluded beaches.
